Evening Flow
We’ll begin with a shared potluck meal to create warmth, connection, and grounding as participants arrive. Please bring a dish to share at the community potluck with a label of the ingredients in the food. You are also encouraged to bring flowers, photos of your loved ones, or anything that represents the grief you are honoring.
We will share about the items and the historical practice of creating an oferenda. We will have a small community art installation where people can add the names of their lost loved ones, what they are ready to release, or blessings for the next year. In addition, we will set up an offering dish to channel love into the world.
The heart of the evening will be a Family Constellation ritual, a group healing process that allows participants to honor and transform painful patterns within their family systems and the larger collective. There will also be a somatic practice to ground the body. Finally, we’ll close the circle, sharing reflections on family, ancestors, grief, and gratitude, before ending the evening with snacks and well wishes.
There are 7 major types of grief: loss of a loved one through death, loss of a relationship (such as divorce), loss of your home (or homeland), loss of a job, loss of a pet, loss of a body part (or health) and loss of a child. Any and all types of grief are welcome.

The Mourning Collective is creating the new normal for grieving in community.
They are a diverse group that gathers regularly to create a safe, healing space to work through grief, loss, and rebirth- as a community. Their circles are guided by a loving group of co-facilitators who support participants in processing the full range of their emotions. They teach people how to find relief and hope by sharing crucial skills to process grief and heartache. They share somatic, relational and personal tools for healing in times of crisis or simply acknowledging loss as part of life.
The Collective was founded in Fall 2024 by Wysteria (a certified Death Doula), Svetlanna (an interpersonal relationship healer who has spent decades studying alternative education and healing modalities all over the world), and Tammy (an intuitive guide who helps people heal and grow from the inside out through her fascia self-care classes).
