✨🌱 Imbolc Blessings! 🌱✨
Imbolic is fastly approaching with it bringing exciting news! The Bag Lady will hold an Imbolc Sabbat Class on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2pm to 3:30pm. 🌱
February 1st-2nd marks Imbolc. This is the second Sabbat in the wheel of the year, which traditionally begins from sundown on February 1st to sundown on February 2nd.
What is Imbolc?
Imbolc, also known as St. Brigid's Day, honors the Goddess Brigid, the bringer of light, blessings, and fertility of spring. 🍀
It is celebrated as beautiful cross-quarter holiday celebrating the first signs of spring. Traditionally observed halfway between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, Imbolc is when the wheel of the year is turning from the darkness of winter towards the beauty and light of spring. It is seen as a time of renewal, light, and new beginnings. ⛅️
It is observed in many ways by the welcoming of Brigid, candle magick, and more.
In our class, we will go deeper into the history and lore of Brigid and the sacred holiday. We will explore the traditions and customs associated with this day.
We will also have the opportunity for each person to create their own Imbolc ritual and blessing to take home.
The class will be led by Katie Suddeth, proprietress of The Bag Lady. Katie has a Masters of Divinity from Wake Forest University and a deep knowledge of Goddess worship/traditions.
We hope you will join us and celebrate Brigid bringing the coming of sunnier days. You can register for the class on our website. Link in bio. ⛅️ ☀️
